2009 TEAM ACCOMPLISHMENTS

     ~ Overall Record:  11 - 8 - 3

     ~ Conference Record:  5 - 1 - 1  (2nd place)

     ~ Regional Champions 
 

                ~ Defeated St. Charles East is PK's (6 - 5) after 4 OT's!!!  
                ~ Katelyn Allen stopped their 9th PK shooter and
                   Madeline Tennant made her PK to clinch the victory!!!  
                ~ PK's made by:  Gina Peri, Kailey Rote, Sarah Tennant, 
                                         Catherine Allon & Abbey Schroeder.  
                ~This victory was an outstanding team effort.  The game 
                  lasted over 2 hours and 40 minutes in 90 degree heat!!!

     ~ Beat St. Charles North in OT in the Sectional Semi-Final to
        advance to the Sectional Championship!  It was a huge upset as 
        Geneva was the 4th ranked seed in the Sectional and St. Charles 
        North was the top seed (and was ranked 2nd in State at the time). 
        Emily Hinchman scored off a free kick at an akward angle that she 
        lofted over the 9-person wall and curved past the keeper.

     ~ Lost to Conant 1 - 0 in the Sectional Championship, after we allowed 
        Conant to score in the first 2 minutes of the game.

     ~ Made it to the Sweet Sixteen!
